And the light's went off at midnight! Sydney welcome 2011 with a spectacular New Year's Eve fireworks display. News reports revealed that about seven tonnes of pyrotechnics were lit up that blazed a colourful fireworks display around the Sydney Harbour Bridge. It was estimated that around 1.5 million Sydney locals and tourists gathered at various vantage points to witness this grand new year's eve spectacular show. Organizers described this event as the greatest firework show on earth.
